Jon has been involved in sport continually from a early age. He started as a very promising middle distance athlete.  He was soon noticed by Steve Ovett, Britain’s 800m Olympic gold medallist; and started training with him at the age of 16.  This experience enabled Jon to progress in his own athletic career, gaining international vests at 800m on the track and joining numerous tours with the team.

Jon spent 2 years working for Steve Ovett's sports clothing business to support his training.  During this time he met Sally Gunnell on a international trip to Australia.  They were only 18 but have stayed together ever since.

Jon has used his own personal running experiences along with experience gained from working along side Olympic Champion and wife Sally Gunnell to build and effective and world renowned coaching philosophy. Through out Jons 20 years of coaching he has coached numerous athletes to the top level of the sport combining his ability to understand the individual needs of each athlete and the science behind building an effecting training plan.

Dan Stepney

Dan's love of sport goes back to his early childhood.  He's played football, rugby and basketball to a decent standard.  He was also a junior gymnast.  But his biggest love is athletics.  He trained and competed since the age of 10 and was coached by Jon. During this time, he has medalled at regional and national competitions at a junior and senior level.  He finished 7th at the 2012 Olympic Trials over 800m.

Dan has been coaching for over the 10+ years. Over this time he has gained vast knowledge and experience with both elite level and recreational athletes. He is the assistant coach at the PHX TRK, an elite group based in Brighton that hosts some of the world’s best middle distance athletes.

Dan has also been a British Athletics coach on several GB endurance camps. In 2017 and 2019, he was at the holding camp as a member of support staff for the GB team prior to the 2017 and 2019 World Athletics Championships. He has previously acted as a British Athletics consultant to the Nike+ Run Club, a position he held for 2 years (2015-2017) and is currently working as part of the British Athletics Futures Academy Programme and the British Athletics Para Futures Academy Programme, which help support and develop the next generation of world-class athletes.

Finley Bigg

Finley passion for sport started from a young age when he began playing for his local football team. this passion for football lasted a number of year up until the age 16 where he began his athletics career. Finley achieved his first international vest running for England indoors. And went on to make the final of the 2018 European athletics trails.

During Finley's running career he has developed a passion behind the science and physiology involved in achieving maximum performance. This lead him the partake in a Sports Science and Coaching degree to further his knowledge in the field.

After a successful running career Sally now looks to pass the knowledge she has picked up along the way to all levels of runners. Whether its tips on how to build up to running your first 5k or for runner who need some advice for taking their running to the next level.
